To win the prize
“I’ve seen bad films before, but this one takes the cake!” Note: Often said in sarcasm, as used in the example above.
Have what it takes
To possess the determination, stamina, intelligence, skills, etc needed to succeed
“It is going to be difficult to fill this job position; many will apply, but few will have what it takes.”
Do a double-take
To look twice in rapid succession, not believing one’s eyes
“Having heard that Sakamoto-san was still abroad, Sachie-san did a double-take when she saw him walking down the street.”

Accepting bribes
“The Customs officer had been on the take for years before he was caught.”

To have a different opinion or perspective on (something)
